ABOUT ME:
A trained PhD Economist, I am currently the Project Manager of the SME Competitive Survey project at the International Trade Centre (ITC), a joint agency of WTO and UNCTAD. Before joining the ITC, I worked for the World Bank, the ILO, the UNCTAD, the OECD, and the European Commission. I have completed my PhD in International Economics at the Graduate Institute in Geneva, where I worked under the supervision of Professor Richard Baldwin. My dissertation focused on international trade in developing countries. During my thesis, I also worked on a distinct field in development economics: the role of the internet in favoring inclusive innovation. I have a strong background in international trade, including extensive experience with firm level data and the related literature. In my work at the ITC I have focused on the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and research on inclusive growth. From Italy, I am fluent in Italian, English, Spanish and French.
